Jeff has an incredible knowledge for preparedness and is able to explain it very well to the average person in a way that is digestible, straight forward and clear. It isn't too dull or oversaturated like other preparedness resources. Just what I was looking for to help my family be prepared for everyday emergencies.

Filled with highly detailed information but made accessible for all audiences to grasp. It provides tangible material to practice in order to improve one’s preparedness efforts and plans. It explores relevant concepts such as social capital and relates such topics to how to build your personal preparedness plan. This type of material is usual oversimplified or under-explained but Donaldson’s finds the right balance and hits the nail on the head on various preparedness topics.

Taking the course helped me find additional resources and skill sets I had overlooked. Plus, it helped me think about the smaller, more expectable events where I was underprepared and how my whole family would be affected. What would happen if I lost my job? What are my social resources? Who do I rely on and who relies on me?

I was also made to reconsider the effectiveness of my previous preparations and how to improve them.
